I graduated from Camden Central High school in 2006. I completed my first year of college at the University of Memphis. I transferred to UT Martin at the conclusion of my freshman year and graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education (Spanish) in 2009. While working on my degree at UTM, I completed a one month intensive study abroad program at La Universidad de Castilla La Mancha in Toledo, Spain. I began teaching Spanish at CHS in August of 2009. In 2010, I began working on my Master's Degree in English as a Second Language through Carson Newman University's online degree program. I completed my degree in 2012. In October of 2013, I accepted the position as the county-wide ESL teacher for Henry County. I worked in this position until my return to Benton County in 2016. I have been teaching Spanish part-time and ESL part-time ever since.

I am a native of Camden, TN. I am married to my husband, Lance, who is also from Camden. He is a chemist at Oxy Chem. We have two children, Kennedy and Cameron. I am active in my church, First Baptist. I enjoy reading, running, working out, crocheting, and spending time with my family.
