I am a graduate of Loretto High School, the University of Memphis, and the University of Alabama at Huntsville. I hold Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in English.
I am married to Darrell Myrick who is the Director of Physical Therapy at Camden General Hospital. We will celebrate 30 years of marriage in May.
We have 3 children. Our oldest son Kyle (CHS Class of 2011) lives in Cordova, TN and works for Methodist Healthcare Systems at the Sutherland Cardiac Clinic. Our second son Colin (CHS Class of 2015) lives in Camden and owns his own lawncare/landscaping business. Our daughter Amelia is a member of the CHS Class of 2021 and is a cheerleader for the Camden Central Lions.
We have 4 pets. A shelter dog named Cookie who is 10, a German Shepherd puppy named Major who is 1 1/2, a duck whose name is Duck Norris, and a cat named Paisley who is 9.
I have taught for a total of 16 years in Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. I began teaching in Benton County at Big Sandy High School in 2008. This is my 11th year at CHS where I taught English and currently serve as the school's Librarian.
